Mc Farlane Toys 12" T-850 TERMINATOR

McFarlane, the makers of the incredible on going Spawn series and the very poplar Movie Maniacs bring us an incredible series from the hit movie Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines! These seven inch scale figures are in scale with Movie Maniacs! This 12 inch T-850 Terminator is much larger than its counter parts however and is slightly taller than Sideshow Toy's twelve inch figures! This great figure is basically the same sculpt as the 7 inch version. Lets get to it!

Accessories: The big Terminator includes a machine gun with removable gun clips, a shot gun with a strap, and a detailed base. The figure has two peg holes in his boots and he stands on there tightly but for him to do so you must give him a good push or two as this will help him stay on there for a long time!

Articulation: The figure does not have Marvel Legends movement but if you are a collector of McFarlane then you know what to expect. The figure moves at the head, the shoulders, the right elbow has a cut joint, the right hand, and at the waist. It isn't a huge amount but for Me it works!

Durability: The figure is very solid but I don't recommend this to a small child because even though the figure is made good the right hand and arms tightness may vary on other figures but this is a very heavy and solid Arnold figure!

Packaging: The packaging is awesome but I am not a huge fan of McFarlane's packaging however because they don't put any information about the character and/or the movie the figure represents. It would have been cool if they would have put movie stills instead of just pictures of the figure itself but for the Terminator 3 line there is only one picture and it is the promotional picture of Arnold on the front/side. Also there is a ton of twisty ties so get ready to do some untying or cutting for a awhile but it isn't that bad! The box is pretty massive with the Terminator 3 logos on it and is quite colorful!

Paint: The belt buckle was a nice touch! There are also some other great little details! Plus there are no paint blotches on My figure whatsoever! Great job McFarlane!

Sculpting: This is one of McFarlane's greatest strengths! There are two versions but the only difference is the head sculpts. One has sun glasses and the other doesn't. I received the one with the sun glasses. The sculpting is superb on this figure which in My opinion looks exactly like Arnold Schwarzenegger! The face is perfect and the body is so incredibly life like! There is bullet holes in his jacket and pants and there is some great looking minor damage to the chest area! In other words
the sculpting is amazing!

Sound Feature: Now this is the tricky part that collectors may dislike this feature because it is not totally accurate. He says the following: "I'm Unable to comply", "It is time", "She'll be back" & "Don't do that"! Sure its Arnold's voice but its slow. The reason for this I am not sure. Don't quote Me on this but maybe they wanted his voice like this before in the blockbuster film since his voice changed in the second sequel to a more robotic voice than the other two films and McFarlane used it as that? No matter what the case may be I am satisfied with this feature!

Overall: This is not a bad figure at all in fact, I think its one of the best that has been released in 2003! Its also set at a decent price as well! If you have the other Terminator figures from this series the 12 incher will look radical with your other figures! This is a nice addition to any collection especially for collectors who love The Terminator!
