Character Summary

Thor's step-brother Loki has been cast out of Asgard, and now he wants his own world to rule. Earth is the prime candidate, and Loki has enlisted an extraterrestrial army, the Chitauri, to act as his agents. But he has not counted on his step-brother's resolve, or on the team of heroes that stand alongside him. Can these so-called "Avengers" hold out against a technologically superior civilization bent on conquest? The Chitauri soldiers will test their mettle in combat as the Avengers make their stand in New York City, meeting the Chitauri's advanced weaponry with hammer, armor, shield, arrows, guns and fists at the ready.
