"Cross the Rainbow Bridge of Asgard,
Where the booming heavens roar,
You'll behold in breathless wonder,
The God of Thunder, Mighty Thor!"

Behold! The noble mortals at Sideshow Collectibles and Marvel Comics are honored to present one of the oldest and most celebrated conflicts in all of comic history. The Thor vs Loki diorama recreates the artwork and style from the Loki tale, as imagined by Esad Ribic, with the two foes captured the heat of battle. The Thor vs Loki diorama is cast in heavy-weight, high-quality polystone, then hand-finished and hand-painted to exacting standards. Each piece is individually hand-numbered, then packaged in a durable foam shipping interior and beautiful full color box.

Please note: some easy assembly is required.

The saga of Thor began in 1962 with Journey Into Mystery written by Stan Lee and Larry Lieber and illustrated by Jack Kirby and Joe Sinnott. Based on the Norse god of thunder, Thor is sent to Midgard (Earth) when his father, Odin, lord of the gods feels that he has become too arrogant. To teach him a lesson in humility Thor is placed in the body of Donald Blake, a medical student at New York State College who suffers from a lame leg. Donald carries a walking stick that when tapped against the ground, becomes Thor's mystical hammer Mjolnir, initiating a transformation from his mere mortal form into the powerful Asgardian God. Over the years, Thor learns his lesson in humility and has become one of the most noble and honorable of all the Marvel superheroes.

Loki, the god of lies and mischief, is raised by Odin, who found him as a child hidden in a fallen enemy's fortress. Though not an Asgardian, he is taken in as an adopted son and raised as a brother to Thor. Loki grows up resenting Thor to the point of utter contempt and constantly plots to seize the Asgardian throne from Odin. Uninterested in humans, who are mere playthings to him, his ultimate goal is to rule Asgard or to destroy it by bringing about Ragnaroek, "The Twilight of the Gods." A powerful magician with a cunning mind, Loki is undoubtedly Thor's most fearsome and dangerous adversary.
