Spider-Man Trilogy - Sandman Series (Oh! That's What They're Called)

First of all I am kind of a stickler for naming all of these things so bare with me. I think part of it may be because I'm running a Database of almost 1,000 figures now and that beast can go feral real quick if you let it.

Marvelous News brought you images from Hasbro's booth at the 2007 San Diego Comic Con of this new wave of Spider-Man figures. We followed up with some hi-res images straight from Hasbro. And, we've just recently updated you on the current toy sightings with in-hand images of these figures from our readers and forum members.

But what we haven't done yet is told you exactly what they're called: Spider-Man Legends? 6" Spider-Man Movie Series? Spider-Man Build-A-Figure Series? Spider-Man Sandman Series? 6" Marvel Legends Spider-Man Legends Build-A-Figure Collection Sandman Series Limited Movie Edition Wave??? Well I'll tell you, the name isn't any one of those, in fact I found out what Hasbro is really calling them, simply by browsing Hasbro.com/Spiderman and the title for this wave is Spider-Man Trilogy - Sandman Series. I like the "Trilogy" thing, it's a nice touch and it covers the fact that we have an assortment of characters from all 3 Spider-Man films in one little word. And we can call it Spider-Man Trilogy for short. Who knows, maybe they'll follow it up with a 2nd Wave and call it Spider-Man Trilogy - Car that Doc Ock throws through the window Series" or... maybe not.

I've included Hasbro's latest packaged and loose images below, but you should watch Hasbro.com closely for any updates, specificially if a little green "Buy it" button pops up on these following pages. Just as important, keep watching MarvelousNews.com for Database Updates and Reviews of the Spider-Man Trilogy figures in just a few days.

To see them all, just go to Hasbro.com/Spiderman and click on the "Spider-Man Products" button on the left side, then in the site's search bar type in "Trilogy".

Black Suited Spider-Man

Venom

New Goblin

Doc Ock

Green Goblin (Not shown yet, but name appears in web browser title)

Mary Jane

Spider-Man

And for those lucky few of you who have scored you some or all of your Spider-Man Trilogy figures, congrats and to the rest, good luck and happy hunting!

The only decent figures in that set are Venom and Spider-man..the rest are just plain fugly. The F4 wave is way better IMHO.

At least Hasbro isn't trying to pass these off as Marvel Legends.
