Fine Arts Busts: X-Men Classics Havok

by Jay Cochran
August 21, 2008
A KOTOBUKIYA Japanese import! The first CHAPTER of the comic book based Kotobukiya Collection spotlights the most famous renditions of Marvel’s most famous mutants: X-Men Classic! Clad in the attire made famous in their 70s and 80s adventures, the series continues with HAVOK.

Taking the bust format to the next level, both busts feature reversible bases allowing you to display their logo, or a relief sculpture of their civilian face. As special bonuses, Havok’s rings Glow-In-The-Dark!

Sculpted by Manabe Seijoro, Havok measures over 8 inches tall and is made from cold cast porcelain. Each Fine Art Bust is a limited edition, and the pieces will be individually serial numbered on the base.

I like the look of these, but don't think I'll be getting them. The curio is filled to the brim with Bowen Designs busts, and there's simply no room.

One I would get in a heartbeat would be Gambit, although if this is based on the look of the X-Men in the 70's and 80's, and Gambit didn't come around until 1990, it may be a long wait.

I like my six inch one better.
