MTV is reporting that actress Kirsten Dunst who plays the character of Mary Jane in Marvel/Sony's Spider-Man movie franchise told them the following:
“I’m in,” said the actress matter of factly. However, when pressed to make the announcement official, Dunst quickly changed her tone, and rather cryptically added, “I’m not saying anything, I know there’s rumors…”
In other Marvel news David Maisel, Executive Vice President, Office of the Chief Executive, and Chairman of Marvel Studios confirmed during a presentation he gave to the folks at JPMorgan U.S. Mid Cap Growth Conference that Sega would be releasing video games based on both the upcoming Thor and Captain America movies.
Yeah, I feel the same way.......she's pretty overrated IMO. She was a good child actor......but she never really felt like MJ to me. I really don't like her in any of her other movies either. I wish they would look at Kate Mara........she would be the perfect MJ IMO. If you've seen Shooter......you know what I'm talking about. She's beautiful and is a natural redhead. This isn't the best picture of her......but as you can see she's got the look. She's a pretty good actress too.

At least Toby can act - more or less. He's actually suited to the role. Maybe he's down playing it, but maybe it's legit, maybe he's just humble (unlikely). However, at least, like I said, he is a good spiderman/peter.
My girlfriend could make a better MJ than Dunst and she's never read a single comic book.
I have to say - I was hoping she wouldn't take the part and they'd find someone who is, um...what's the word I'm looking for here - oh ya - talented.
BTW, Toby also downed it as well so step up, Toby, Petey is an Icon so do it justice and not belittle the honor!!
i am happy she comes back because the the team was ok for spider-man 1 and 2. i mean spiderman 3 was the crap that made peaple hate her and even raimi and maguire. spiderman 3 breaked every rule that was to break in this movie.

-sandman was bens killer? i mean why did peter become spiderman? because he made a mistake letting that guy go and now all this is gone.
-harry wasnt a goblin but a snowboarder
-gwen took mary janes place and she was hot.
all this factors and more made peaple hate them. spiderman 3 was crap but i prefer to have the whole team back to do it right again then to recast one there and here. or they should recast everyone or no one.
i am happy to see them again and i hope that they can bring the franchise back on track by maybe forgetting a bit what happend in spiderman3

Wow.... guess the paychecks make up for the fact that she was pretty open about hating the comic book genre during her SpiderMan 3 junket.
I lost a lot of respect for her when she was getting tired of all the hype for the movie.
Guess what? If you don't like it, don't do it. I'm sure there are plenty of movies that you could feel "better" about and I know there are plenty of actresses dying to get into that role and appreciate every second of the media hype.
