Samuel L. Jackson Signs 9 Picture Deal With Marvel

Jay Cochran - February 25, 2009
Actor Samuel L. Jackson has signed a 9 picture deal with Marvel Studios. He will be reprising his role as the director of S.H.I.E.L.D. Nick Fury in a string of upcoming Marvel movies that included "Iron Man 2," "Thor," "Captain America," "The Avengers" and its sequels. There are also rumors floating around that a S.H.I.E.L.D. movie could be in the works as well which Jackson would star in.

Jackson first played the role of Nick Fury in a brief appearance at the end of the first Iron Man movie.

How can he be a good actor? He has the same ghetto tone to every role he is in. Even in Star Wars he couldn't leave his ghetto-ness behind. I'm sure there are a number of blacks who can play the same roles. I see nothing spectacular about him.

I like samuel. They should of brought back hassalhoff. I would of died from laughing.

i love him too, he is a great actor but i hate all this ultimate nonsense and this is not the fury i wanna see. hasselhof? nice   schwarzenegger would have been my favorite choice to play nick fury.

I completley agree, the ultimate universe should die a slow, painful death. Arnold would be an interesting choice but It will be weird to hear Fury talk with an accent. They should've gone with an unknown but since Marvel is financing their movies now they want big names.
