NYCC 2009: Marvel Legends & Universe TRU, Walmart Exclusive 2 & 3 Packs, More by Outsiders in Marvel at 11:24 AM on 2009.02.06

The following is what Hasbro has in the works for the Marvel series!

* Walmart exclusive 3 3/4" Marvel Universe 2-packs called Gigantic Battles. This 2-pack will consist of a figure will be around 12-13" and another regular 3 3/4" in size and estimate cost of $25.00. These 2-packs will be hitting Walmart in Fall of 2009.

I think they'll be around 12-13" and cost around $25.

You know, I could have SWORN they were making a black Goliath.

So what's the street date on these two packs?

There was also listed a Wolverine/Sentinel set.

But apparently it can not/ will not be the ML BAF Sentinel. Which is kind of sad but if they do a a trule classic Sentinel, a regular human figure could work as a base as long as there are new boots, gloves, heads and perhaps and DCIF style chest cover.

that was just a rumor that some one started. It is not real.

I'm willing to be they are going to see how this first wave does.

Also... I never go to Wal-Mart so I may Devilsdue up on his offer.

Has there been any confirmation as to how many figures are coming for this line of exclusives?

I thought when they initially announced them that it was supposed to be like 4 or 6 sets or something, but more recent reports have been saying that it's just these two.

only two set (now three with the variant) of these lot are coming out.

however if successful we may get more.

The ML Goliath is more like 14 compared to other figs in the line. He also came with Ant Man and Wasp. Hasbro should re-release these since both versions were originally hard to find.

I picked one up on Ebay once I started to collect SHS. He is of only one of two Legends figs I own(the other one is Apocalypse). They match really well to MU.

I for one am exstatic that these will be a wal mart exclusive! I work there, so i'll see them before anyone else. (all our exclusives in toys lately get a street date and sit in the back for a minute or two) And i get a discount! Anyone who has any trouble finding them after they come out let me know.... I'd be glad to sell them at cost just to help out my sales. lol.
