2009 SDCC : 6 inch Titanium Man, Crimson Dynamo & Marvel Legends News

James - July 23, 2009
Hasbro representatives have confirmed that they have the prototypes for the 6 inch Titanium Man and Crimson Dynamo figures here at Comic Con. Pictures of these figures have been leaked online recently. Hasbro says that they have decided not to show the figures at the Con however, as they have no retailer or specific release date for these figures lined up at this time. With the Iron Man 2 movie coming out next year it is likely they will find a spot for them in the future. These images were not meant to be shown though because Hasbro is aware of the frustration many fans feel when something is shown but then not released.

Hasbro also reveled that they do currently have a date and retailer(s) lined up to get the three Marvel Legends two packs from their fan choice poll wave released. They aren't releasing the information yet, other than to say that the figures will be coming out in 2010.

I just read on the main page that these figures were shown by accident. They have no retailers lined up and are NOT coming out this year. Maybe next spring/summer with the IronMan 2 movie figures. BULL$HIT!!!

Well Hasbro busted that bubble pretty quickly. These look awsome they really need to make these available.

Typical Hasbro, they didn't figure these two 6" figures would get so much attention and hoopla that it takes away from their main focal point of the other Marvel Universe figures. Accidentally my a$ !! Hey let's put them back in mothballs!! Heck these two even generated more talk than the 2010 2 pack Legends they are polling. Maybe it would cost them more for tooling . . . Obviously they don't know which figures are in most demand and cannot project demand for the production run. They just figured, duh .... it's just another one of those armoured figures that we can include with the Iron Man movie line. It won't sell as much as the other Mk III Iron Man figures that are peg warming in the stores.

It occurs to me that we'll probably see these paired with Iron Man figs they couldn't sell in 2 packs ala the ML X-Men movie 2 packs they put out this year.

Yes, MU is getting Jim Lee Jean Grey, which totally sucks. I've wanted an ML Jean Grey for a very long time.

Well, speaking of Crimson Dynamo, did you guys see the great 'classic' Dynamo figure the Iron Man MU line is getting? I'd much rather see ML get that version than the one we're supposedly getting. Not to mention the classic Ultron, Sunfire, Klaw, Piledriver, Thunderball and Enchantress the MU is getting.

Just read about the 19" Galactus that is coming too. Probably for the MU line and probably less articulate than the ML BAF, but at 19" it would work well with MLs.

yea man MU is getting all the good line ups... only if ML can get that line up....MU has jean grey!! LOL we will just have to wait till hasbro stops ML and hope marvel toys to picks it up....

Marvel Toys is officially dead, out of business, no longer making toys, you take your pick.

lol oops didnt know that....ok then...so we just got to hope that hasbro learns how to make better figures

It sure doesn't sound like they're all going to be released when they say, "You pick 3, we'll pick 3."

So, you say what you say, but I'll believe different until I see it.

TomTom - 2009-07-25 @ 6:33 pm

All right, i don't know how many times I've said this but hell why not one more:

EVERYTHING SHOWN AT THE CON WILL BE RELEASED. WE ARE VOTING FOR WHICH ONES WE WOULD LIKE FIRST, THEN THE REST GET RETOOLED AND RELEASED LATER.

It should not take 50 posts to say the same thing.

madthinker14 - 2009-07-25 @ 6:14 pm

They say they don't want to frustrate the fans by showing them things they can't have... then turn around and show them things they can't have... sounds like a contradiction to me.

Not to mention how last month they gave the whole "What could have been" presentation at the Philly con, showing stuff like Darkhawk and the build-a-vehicle Quinjet that they're never going to make.

Maybe the quote was incomplete - "Hasbro is aware of the frustration many fans feel when something is shown but then not released - and we think it's entertaining as hell! Yee-Haw!"

I have no idea why they'd say "yee-haw".
