Product Backstory
In order to change the apocalyptic future, the mutant soldier Cable traveled to the present and took the New Mutants under his wing, restructuring it as X-Force, a mutant strike team that would take a more proactive stance against threats to mutantkind. X-Force initially fought the Mutant Liberation Front (M.L.F.), and the team has clashed with the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, Deadpool, Magneto, the Skornn, S.H.I.E.L.D. and many others who would threaten the future Cable sought to protect.

Many battles and alliances have passed since Cable's original group, and X-Force's membership and leadership have shifted over the years. Its current members include Warpath, Wolfsbane, Wolverine, and X-23. The team continues to carry out Cable's original defense for the future of mutantkind, and recently, X-Force organized the assault on the Xavier Institute to free the 198 from its grounds.
