James Cameron And Marc Webb Meet To Discuss Spider-Man 3D

MTV News has learned that James Cameron and "Spider-Man" director Marc Webb got together to compare notes on making the new Spider-Man movie in 3D.

“Last [week] we met the director of [the next ‘Spider-Man’ film],” Cameron’s producing partner Jon Landau explained that the “Avatar” filmmaker and Spider-Man’s new gatekeeper compared notes Wednesday evening. “[Webb] wants to do the next one in 3-D, which they’ve announced that they want to do. So, we want to try to support that as much as possible.”

Jon Landau continues to comment about how some movie shouldn't be rushed with 3D just because 3D can happen.

“Other movies are turning to it now, some of which I agree with, some of which I don’t agree with. ‘Clash of The Titans’ is coming out in 3-D; they’re converting it very hastily into 3-D. I’m not in favor if that,” Landau explained, saying he and Cameron much prefer what “Spider-Man” is doing. “If you want to shoot a 3-D movie, shoot it in 3-D.”
