Could Terrance Howard Be Luke Cage Or Black Panther?!?

E Online, today ran an interesting article where they had a chance to sit down and talk to actor Terrence Howard. As most of you know, Howard played the role of James Rhodes in the first Iron Man movie but then was mysteriously replaced by actor Don Cheadle for the second movie.

Many have speculated that the change in actors was due to salary disputes, but in the interview with E, Howard states that there were no hard feelings between himself and the studio over the change. In fact Howard goes on to say that he is even in talks with the studio about possibly taking on another role in a future Marvel-based movie. Perhaps the recently rumored Cage movie? Or maybe even a Black Panther movie which is a character we think would fit the actor well.

In the interview with E, Howard also goes on to talk about how he apparently recommended actor Robert Downey Jr. for the role of Tony Stark to the studio, and claims some responsibility for getting him getting the role that essentially relaunched Downey's career. Today I don't think anyone could imagine anyone else playing that role of Tony Stark, but back when Downey first auditioned for the role, there had been talk that the studio had serious doubts about the troubled actor playing the star role in their movie. This concern stemmed from the actors troubled past with things like drugs. Whether Howard's recommendation was actually a deciding factor for the studio to give Downey the role is unclear, as I don't recall anyone else ever mentioning that, but Howard sure seems to feel it was, and claims he couldn't be happier how things have turned out.
