Bryan Singer Lays It All Out For 'X-Men: First Class'
Marvel

AICN
was able to get a interview with "X-Men: First Class" producer Bryan Singer and Singer lays out what has been going on for the past year and what will be happening once the August 31st filming date hits. Check out the site for the complete interview as I stripped it down and just included the main points:
The film takes place in the 1960's. John F Kennedy is the President of the United States. Martin Luther King and Malcolm X are on TV doing marches.
We will see how Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr, in their late twenties met and have dreams about the X-Men, Mutants and Human kind together.
Xavier - as played by James McAvoy will not be in his wheelchair to begin the film - but we will see how he wound up in a wheelchair. He will have hair and not be bald.
The costumes will be far more comic bookish than we've seen before
No Scott or Jean Grey in the movie but Cyclops' brother Alex Summers aka Havoc will be, as played by Lucas Till.
With January Jones and Kevin Bacon playing Emma Frost and Sebastian Shaw - we will be getting the HELLFIRE CLUB. The dress and the costumes associated with that glorious period of the X-MEN... belong in the 60s.
Filming will begin with Xavier at Oxford University in the 60s.
They'll be shooting in England & the United States - and they'll be representing other locales around the world such as Russia.
There are characters that have not been announced yet.
First look at some of the costumes and the look Vaughn/Singer are going for should be in about a month.
