Vulture is reporting that Marvel Studios and director Jon Favreau have gone their separate ways, and that the director of the first two Iron Man films will not be directing the third one.
It has not been revealed if this break-up between the two parties was due to financial reasons, creative differences or both. It is also unclear if Favreau will continue his role as Stark's body guard and friend Happy Hogan which is a role the director/actor filled in the previous two Iron Man movies.
