Ain't It Cool News is reporting that Shane Black, the new director for Iron Man 3 will also be writing the script for the movie which will also see input from the films star Robert Downey Jr.
They also report that the movie will not start filming until after the Avengers movie and will not crossover with any of the other Marvel movies like the first two movies did.
As for the plot, apparently we can expect it to deal less with armor clad individuals fighting each other and more of a Tom Clancy type politica-thriller, with Iron Man fighting real world villains.
