Another Major Villain Set To Appear In The Avengers?!? (Possible Spoiler)

We already know that Loki who made his debut in this months Thor movie will be making a return in next year's Avengers movie. We also know the Cosmic Cube will play some role in the movie, but wait, according to Latino Review there is more. According to them, a 'secret source' has revealed that the Mad Titan Thanos will also be appearing in the movie.

A lot of this revelation seems to be based on the fact that Thanos' weapon of choice, the Infinity Gauntlet was on display at Marvel's booth last year at comic-con and made a brief appearance in Odin's vault during the Thor movie.

Latino Review isn't revealing what role Thanos will play in the movie, but if this rumor is true it would seem more likely that perhaps the character makes a brief appearance and a prelude to a possible Avengers sequel as opposed to playing a major role in this movie. Certainly anything is possible but having two heavy hitters like Loki and Thanos and two extremely powerful cosmic weapons like the Cube and the Gauntlet play major roles in one movie seems like a case of overkill to me.
