Marvel Wants To Do Movies For "Inhumans" & "Guardians of the Galaxy," But Do You Want To See Them?

If you picked up the new issue of Entertainment Weekly last week, the one with The Avengers on the cover, then you probably caught the little blurb on page 40 that talked about what's next for Marvel.

The article says we will see Iron Man 3 directed by Shane Black in May 2013 while Thor 2 which takes the Avenger to other worlds will be directed by Patty Jenkins and is slated to begin production next April.

The article then goes on to say that the long rumored Ant-Man movie is still in the works and being put together by writer-director Edgar Wright. Hmmm... Still no word on Ant-Man actually being in The Avengers movie, yet he is going to get his own movie right afterwards? Okay, Ant-Man is a founding member of the Avengers and has multiple alias' that one could use for a movie plot, so we will give you that one. But then the article goes on to say a Guardians of the Galaxy and Inhumans movie may also be in the works. Really??? I mean I am sure Marvel Studio President Kevin Feige who apparently divulged all this information to EW would love to see every single character in the Marvel library turned into a big-screen blockbuster. We've certainly heard enough rumors fly around the net over the past year with everyone from Doctor Strange to Stilt-Man being looked at for a movie (okay I made up the Stilt-Man part), but how realistic is it for some of these characters, many who can never even seem to maintain ongoing comic book series for any real period of time to be turned into full-feature movies? And if somehow they did make it to the big screen, would people really go see it????

Let us know. Would you spend the money to go see a movie based on the Inhumans or Guardians of the Galaxy? Maybe more importantly if you asked 5 of your non-comic book reading friends to go see such movies, do you honestly think they would say yes?
