SFX reports that Disney has set the release date for the next Captain America solo movie for April 4, 2014. The movie is said to take place after the events of The Avengers movie as opposed to telling further adventures of Cap during the World War 2 era.
"According to Disney, the sequel picks up where the Avengers Assemble leaves off, with Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) continuing his affiliation with Nick Fury and SHIELD as the shield-flinger struggles to come to grips with being transported to contemporary times."
Before Captain America 2 hits theaters we have "Marvel's The Avengers," on May 4, 2012; "Iron Man 3" on May 3, 2013; and "Thor 2" on November 15, 2013.
