Variety is reporting that actor Sir Ben Kingsley is in final talks to play a villain for the next Iron Man movie. They say he will play a role that revolves around the spread of a virus through nanobots, and that the movie will be loosely based on Warren Ellis’ six-issue EXTREMIS series. They also go on to indicate Mandarin will not be showing up for this movie. Iron Man 3 is slated to be released on May 3, 2013.
