Back in February it was revealed by
Hasbro that we would be getting a
Nimrod figure this year. While they clearly stated that Nimrod would NOT be released as a Build-A-Figure, but were scarce on the details of just how the figure would see release.
Now thanks to
Amazon France we have a clue to that mystery. On the site they are listing a
Marvel Legends 3-Pack featuring figures of
Nimrod, Psylocke and
Fantomex.
So it's probably safe to assume the
Nimrod figure listed is the same one we saw at Toy Fair. It's still unclear however, what exact versions of
Psylocke and
Fantomex we will be getting.
The
Nimrod figure is based on the designs seen in the recent
Power Of X/House Of X Marvel Comics storyline, so will the
Pyslocke and
Fantomex figures follow along those same lines? If so that leaves a couple of different options for the
Psylocke figure.
In the comics
Elizabeth Braddock who was the original
Psylocke, is now the new
Captain Britain.
And the name
Psylocke is now being used by the character formerly known as
Kwannon.
So conceivably we could get a figure of either of these two versions. Of course
Hasbro could be cheap and just re-issue the recent
Jim Lee style Psylocke figure they put out in 2018. It might even have
X-Force paint apps since her and
Fantomex served together on that team for awhile.
As for
Fantomex, I don't know if his look has drastically changed much over the years. Hasbro did a
Marvel Legends figure of him some time back, but he could definitely use an update. The character is also slated with a one-shot comic due out in May.
So we still have some questions needing answers for this and of course until Hasbro officially announces this, we will treat it as rumor.
Got my shipping notice this morning, now the waiting game really begins

UPDATE: Didn't arrive on the 6th like they said but did arrive today. Along with my Moon Knight!!
O joyous day, my brethren! Let the clarion call go forth, adorn the halls with crystal and gold!
Its a wondrous sight. They all came out beautifully. Hasbro really did Moon Knight well. This is the perfect mold for him and they didn't cheap out like they could have. Silvery deco moon insignia, pearlescent sculpted belt, segmented wrist and shin guards! They even have a sculpted crescent-shaped kind of cestus on his fists. For everyone that does those "10 Best" Marvel Legends for the year, I'm positive this one's gonna be on every list.
The Mutant 3 pack did not disappoint! They did kind of cheap out with Psylocke by painting on (instead of sculpting) her leggings/boots but it came out ok (lets face it, her whole outfit is painted on except for the belt). It almost looks like her legs are a bit thinner than what we got in the Apocalypse wave, but still, no real complaints. Fantomex comes Covid-19 ready, and while a lot of people didn't care for his previous figure, I did and this one is even better.
Nimrod does indeed have the clear plastic "glass" for his chest piece and its very freakin cool....they should do that for the Iron Man armor. He's just an incredible figure I frankly never expected them to be able to make. Well, I'm gonna let them sit on the mantle and grab some sun to heat up a bit so as not to break anything while posing. Our summers are long here in Alaska, but theyre over now and its a tad nippy for plastic figures that have been delivered to cold steel mailbox bins.

I would still prefer Nimrod on his own, but it would be a better set

That would be a good set.

My thought was maybe being a European exclusive (also being leaked on Amazon France) would be why those characters were included in the box set. But I was never saying U.S. collectors wouldn't get Nimrod, just a different box set (let's say Nimrod and Dawn of X Xavier and Magneto for example).
It's definitely a thought. I hope that isn't the route they go, because I'd actually quite like X-Force Psylocke and Fantomex, but my brother lives in London, so maybe he'd be able to pick them up for me.

That makes a whole lot of sense. I'd be quite surprised if theNimrod set was ever intended to beeven a con exclusive, period, let alone a European con exclusive. (obviously con exclusives aren't really gonna be a thing at least for the near future, anyhow)
