Re: Fin Fang Foom
Immediate gut reaction? Heck yes I'd pay $400 for an FFF Haslab. But reality settles in I realize that is a loaded question. And my real answer would come with a few conditions.
First off I'd expect that it would have to be larger than even Galactus. And given that his neck is long and thin I think they could give it the impression of looking bigger and taller without requiring too much product. Secondly at $400 it would need at least one guaranteed figure and a few head swap options. And last they need to make sure the neck and tail have really great articulation. And I'm telling you with fair certainty that most of us would be willing to sacrifice a few knuckles of finger articulation in exchange. After that they can do all the tiers they think they could get away with.
I really can't imagine what would have to come about to make a $500 go over well but I would say it would have to be some guaranteed bonuses once it fully funds. I think even the possibility of one tier getting left on the floor like the Skrull Giant Man head swap might be poison. That little gouge felt none too good for a lot of people who had faith in the program and jumped on early and hung in till the end. Doing reveals as the campaign progresses to garner more backing is great but once you dangle that carrot you have to make sure we get it if it funds. Besides is a few redecos really going to cost them all that much in the grand scheme of a $500 dollar product?
I think they've learned a little from every Haslab to this point and I think they've learned enough to make it work. I think they know enough now to make this a success.
Can't say I'd pay 5 bones for it, or really even $400. Galactus warranted the price for me (heck, I bought multiples) because of all the extra figures and such it came with, plus he's freaking Galactus. Fin Fang Foom just isn't as much of a heavy hitter (in terms of character importance) from me. I've gone for every Legends Haslab (except the Engine of Vengeance), but I wouldn't go anywhere near that high for Fin. He'd be cool to have, but I don't love him enough for that price.

Same here. Give me some Celestials, I say.

His wings are comically little and his tail is "poseable" sorta. His face isn't wide enough, and his neck should move too. A repaint won't cut it.
You're not wrong. I just measured and he's around 15" tall and looks pretty skinny. This was also done very early in Hasbro's run. However, I'm still happy enough with that version that I wouldn't want them to make a $400-$500 version. However, if you'd asked me a few years ago I would have said the same thing about making a more expensive Galactus or Giant-Man and that I'd rather just stick with the Toy Biz BAFs, but I still bought both (and 4 HasLab Sentinels!). I'd probably end up doing the same with Foom. There are other projects that I'd much rather see them tackle, though.

I like this idea, I also propose they do some big guys with ultimate articulation like a hulk that moves like their old 12-inch line but also with an implemented butterfly joint to be able to hit the thunderclap. Idk if this is just me but I would pay a premium for something like that (maybe like ~50-60).
There are very few things I'd want to spend $500 on. I don't collect much comic outside of Spider-Man but if I was interested in Foom he'd have to be enormous for me to want to spend $500 and then he'd be bigger than Galactus which I wouldn't want either. The only reason I bit the bullet on the $400 Galactus is because I consider him to be a centerpiece of a collection and I wouldn't want anyone bigger than him.

I love Foom, but I don't think I'd spend 400-500 or wait like 600 plus shipping CDN on a figure even if it was massive, I didn't buy any HasLab, just don't feel the need to spend that, but if Foom was more priced at like 150, or 200 even I would probably say yes.
I really can't see myself ever spending $500 on any toy period, and don't really care enough about FFF to go for that. Now, if they did Devil Dinosaur with Moon Girl for the made-to-order program at a reasonable price, I'd be all over that.
I would be down for Devil dinosaur. Only if he came with classic Moon Boy
That does sound pretty cool but I just can't see spending that much money for a toy. I had to really talk myself into Giant-Man.
