Marvel Legends Final Fan-Stream For 2024 Coverage - X-Men And Spider-Man

by Jay Cochran
December 6, 2024
Hasbro today is holding their final live-stream for 2024 with the Marvel Legends Brand Team Dwight, Ryan and Dan. We expect among other things we will see a focus on their first two waves of 2025 with X-Men and Spider-Man. Yesterday at the CCXP Brazil convention we saw the official announcements for the Marvel Legends X-Men Age Of Apocalypse Gambit And Female Electro figures. Hasbro also recently announced figures for Fabian Cortez and Spider-Boy. I suspect we will see the other figures for these two waves revealed today which based on rumors includes:

X-Men Rumored Wave
- Ultimate Wolverine
- X-Force Nightcrawler
- Age Of Apocalypse Gambit
- X-Factor Cyclops (Blue and Yellow)
- Marrow
- Generation X Husk
- Fabian Cortez

Spider-Man Rumored Wave
- Retro Spider-Man Animated Chameleon
- '90s Clone Saga Kaine
- Female Electro
- Spider-Man Unlimited
- Agent Venom
- Spider-Boy

The Spider-Man wave likely will be a Retro Cardback wave with no Build-A-Figure. If the X-Men wave has a BAF we have not seen any indications on what it will be. Both these waves should be available at places like our sponsors BigBadToyStore.com and Entertainment Earth. It's possible at least one of these wave will go up for pre-order next Tuesday (12/12). Hopefully those details will come during the live-stream.

It's unknown if we will see anything else revealed today however we do know some of this fan-stream will be dedicated to the brand teams 2024 Marvel Legends draft as well as them sporting their ugly Marvel Holiday sweaters. We also know they will not be revealing any new MCU based figures today.

Whatever is revealed we will be sure to update you here as it happens along with images.

The panel has begun with a recap of the two figures revealed at CCXP with Female Electro. Also showing Spider-Boy, Cartoon Ultimate Spider-Man, Kaine, Agent Venom and Animated Style Chameleon. This wave will be up everywhere for pre-order on December 12 at 1pm ET.

Going up for pre-order at a later time is a Target Exclusive Professor X from the Savage Land. They also confirmed more Savage Land characters coming in 2025, Barbarus was mentioned as a possible one.

Coming to Walmart is a 70s' TV Live-Action Spider-Man figure. It will have a window box package and come with a string for web to mimic the show.

Coming to Amazon later this month will be Spider-Man Movie Lizard. They teased another villain from the Spider-Man movies was coming which should be Electro. Also based on rumors you can expect a Tobey Spider-Man 3 Symbiote Spider-Man.

Now they are going over their 2024 Draft picks and will have more reveals at the end.

For X-Men they are showing X-Men wave Fabian Cortez, Age Of Apocalypse Gambit, X-Force Nightcrawler, Generation X Husk, Extreme Wolverine (Not Ultimate), X-Factor Cyclops with new optic blast effect. Dwight said the blast is pefect for shooting BAF's. They also showed 90s Marrow
. The Build-A-Figure is a modern version of Nemesis. This wave will go up for pre-order at a later time.

Finally they teased three accessories for upcoming figures. They showed a Staff that should be for Adam Warlock in the rumored Mini-Comic wave, a web effect which will belong to the rumored new Marvel Legends Ultimate subline Spider-Man and a third accessory that I am not sure about. Looks like some kind of bladed wing piece possibly for the rumored X-Force Achangel.

Panel ends.

Yes I really enjoyed Husk a lot more than I thought I would. What's funny is how this Husk figure is so good yet the Monet figure is so terrible. And I know they aren't identical. I think some of the reviewers have pointed out that the M figure is actually a bit more busty. As she should be. But essentially the design and size of the figure is the same. I think the major issue with the M figure is that the head is so teeny tiny. If we could have gotten an M head sculpt in the scale of this one it would have been fine. No matter. I'm holding out that they will be doing Monet in her white and black X-Factor Investigations gear. Maybe with the rumor of a new Strong Guy on the way would it be too much to hope that we might get a M & Guido 2 XFI 2 pack?

I'm surprised how difficult it has been to find comic art of Archangel's wings that exactly match that tease. The only thing I could find that looks anything close to that is this variant comic cover of Uncanny X-Force #15. The only other image I could find looks similar too but I think that's fan art.

I almost forgot about this, made me remember that I hope they redo Deathlok with some better articulation.

I actually saw Chameleon at a Target, along with Spiderboy, and Spidey Unlimited. Which is weird cause the SU was sold out on most sites. You'd think the scalpers woulda gotten him. But I digress, Chameleon looked good. Mine had just shipped, so I didn't grab him, but i doubt Ill keep him in package as I originally planned. I did grab the Spiderboy, and he is really cool. I wasn't gonna get him, but now he's been in a few things I'm reading, so hes "real" and I like the character. He's really a cool figure!

Re: AoA Gambit

Surprisingly this thing looks pretty darn good. The new lower legs actually gave this Sunfire body model just enough height to make it look properly in scale with not only other Gambit figures but other figures in general. Wait........! Are you telling me creating arms and legs of varying shapes, sizes and lengths could theoretically be designed to be interchangeable with standard body models in order to create body models accurate to a character that might not otherwise be achievable by the previous standard model? Wow! Who knew it was that easy? I mean certainly not just anyone with any amount of common sense. Right? It's not like any other companies like perhaps Mattel have been using that strategy within lines like WWE, MOTU and Monster High for like almost 15 years now or anything. Right? The possibilities are absolutely mind blowing are they not? Somebody should clue the entire industry in on this ASAP.

But seriously. This is an awesome looking figure that uses parts of a terrible model yet manages to look fresh and new with way less effort. How is this not a thing with these guys? Oh my mistake. They do it with the G.I. Joe Classified line all the time. Oh my mistake again. Hasbro owns the rights to GIJC so they can do things like that more cost effectively. Oh my mistake again. That's just a cheap cop out cookie cutter excuse that everyone uses and makes no sense because the biggest reason Hasbro even retains the Marvel license is for the movie rights which technically should make the ML line more profitable and thus should already be under consideration when purchasing those rights and thus the extra expenditures should be justified. Oh my mistake again. Let's just forget about all that. The Marvel license is expensive so lets keep doing stuff like ugly hip joints on the new Miles Morales figure and ill advised silly single ball waist joints on the much awaited and anticipated Classic Power Man figure and ruin what were otherwise good efforts in order to keep a few extra coins to rub together. What are they gonna do? The ML license is expensive. They'll keep coming back. And we do. My mistake again. Hail Hasbro!

wait, how are any of the Cyclopses we've gotten on the Vulcan body "shorties"? the majority of the uses of that body have been 6'2" - 6'3" guys (including the several Cyclopses who've used it); there are a couple 6'1" and 6'-even outliers, but also a couple up to 6'5". seems perfectly fine height for 6'3" Scott to me, even accounting for the slight scale creep the past couple years that body's been a part of

I sure hope so. I watched MCU Collector's review and it seems like he had a difficult time with swapping the effects. Hopefully it was just his copy of the figure.
