Once again I just don't see the appeal here. Even for those who want to do a Gamerverse display who wants nothing but Spider-Man figures in it? This has some major McFarlane's love affair with Batman vibes. Happy shopping to all my fellow plastic addicts who want these. I hope Pulse gets their system back in working order. If not I really do have a feeling they're not going to really be that hard to find. Personally I predict this will be the next Eternals style hanging around the pegs even at massive discount for many years after they release situation.

I feel the same as you, this wave really doesn't do anything for me, and I think it was a wasted opportunity, and they could have actually done a gamerverse wave with a variety of characters...but ah well. It saves ya money.

But I have a feeling this wave is actually going to sell very well, so far I have heard a lot of chatter on the internet about how excited and happy people are for this wave , I think it's just going to be one of those things that surprises you, people want 4000 Spider-Mans, Hasbro knows it, you can't beat the unending insatiable desire for Spider-Man figures that the fans have...

Personally

Once again, Pulse is incapable of functioning properly. Guess BBTS gets my business instead.

Only the Boricua suit for me. I want to use him as a new Peurto Rican hero for my Cap display.

Not gonna lie, the Venom head sculpts are looking pretty fantastic. Would love to get this figure in hand and pose it around a bit. That $60 price point is rough though... Definitely reason enough for me to pass...

My earlier sarcastic comment aside, what they could have done was made a concentrated effort to finally finish off teams they've done. Along with the "gamerverse" just swap out one of the black suit Spidey and one of the Boricua Miles suits with a Starhawk and a Triton. Each subsequent wave do two of these characters from teams that haven't been finished.

first of all those have nothing to do with Spidey and second this is a Gamerverse wave based on the PS5 game. they aren't going to shove comic figure into it, which seems to be the new norm as they have been doing it with the MCU waves as well. If anything the Symbiote had to be in this wave, the rest could have been left out and substituted for characters from that game like more of the Sinister six or Kraven or basically any of the characters from that game.

This 100%, the wave selection just sucks. All those interesting designs and characters they could have chosen from they just did a literal spiderman wave.

I mean it's not a wave for me personally, only because I don't collect Videogame figures , but it does really honestly feel very uninspired having 2 Peters and 3 Miles, The Spider-Man video games actually have some very neat looks for characters, why this wave couldn't have been more diverse seems silly, it really feels like a "Spider-Man sells out everytime..Arggg give them Spider-Mannnn money money, they always want spiderrrrrmANN"

in reality it could have been a very interesting wave, characters like Mysterio, Vulture, Scorpion, Shocker, Lizard, Rhino.

And what's sad is likely they will never release any of those guys.

also this wave would have really benefited from either Kingpin or Venom being a BAF it would have forced people to buy the entire wave, it's really silly they omitted a BAF when they easily could have. Now there is no question some of these figures will be hot, but certainly there are going to be pegwarmers..they could have avoided this.

gives me a icky feeling BAF's are quickly becoming a thing of the past and getting phased out. Spidey hasn't had a BAF wave since Armadillo in 2021, Sheeesh

unfortunately this wave looks exhausting, and seems on paper like one of the most tragic waves of Legends ever, sinking so low into the "who cares, it sells, make the whole wave 1 character in different paint jobs" now that just feels like a real bummer. What a way to fatigue people even more on legends and spider-mans, My God...I get it, they are loved games, but are they this loved? we couldn't even get a Gamerverse Thor, or BW, back when, but they can churn out Spideys until the end of time....just no, no, thanks but I'm still waiting for so many character to get a figure...

But all in all, I hope people are happy with this wave!

It sure looks like they're moving away from BAF waves, which is kinda sad. And as you said kinda confusing here, considering that many of these figures could end up pegwarming shelves.

This 100%, the wave selection just sucks. All those interesting designs and characters they could have chosen from they just did a literal spiderman wave. And it hurts that there's a very high chance that Hasbro will never release the big bads from this game, and in part due to the lackluster half of this wave which as you said would have greatly benefited the wave in terms of sales and not pegwarming. ML team showed a wave and 2 "deluxe" offerings and we all know that kingpin which is just complete reuse with new hands/heads should have been the baf here, but Hasbro knows that they could maximize their profit by cutting out the baf from waves and selling it in a deluxe format (which to be honest at times I prefer cuz some waves suck w/ a desirable baf IMO ie. blackheart wave). Hasbro use to do 9-10 bafs a year... last year there was 2. Currently, hasbro thinks it can replace the baf part w/ filler like idk a mini comic book (haha) or the blister cards where the value is most certainly not there.
