I got this figure a while ago--everything about it works for me. The main thing is scale--Titanium Man ( via all my reading) is supposed to be some kind of giant, so the size of the figure is proper compared to ML. And given the size of the figure, the (sorta clunky) articulation-scheme works too. This guy is kind of like the MS Thanos, who is over-sized, but whom I think works better at that larger size, and did so for a good long time in my collection. Hasbro might make their version, it might be different sized, but I personally don't feel any need for it.

Yes, Titanium Man was indeed a giant, due to Soviet experimentations, so in this case the Select figure does scale more or less correctly with the Legends Iron Man. I would add that I havent seen the peeling some have mentioned here, though it wouldn't surprise me that this could eventually happen at some point. That pine green, glossy paint really looks great on him. I had hoped hasbo would do this figure, but the thing is their BAF of this wouldn't be the right height, and anything else is most certainly not going to come in at the $30.00 price point. I'm not a big Select fan but I would urge anyone who wants an accurate Titanium Man, that you won't have to pay $80+ and more for, go snatch this up now!

Hulk was a great release too...i still prefer that figure over any of the ML hulks, even if it is a bit overscaled. MS were on a roll for a bit there.

I completely forgot about their Hulk release, and it looks stunning from afar, but I never purchased it. Honestly can't say why I did not, and it's not like I feel that I have a definitive Hulk, which I was hoping the maximum Hulk to be. So I'm going to just keep on waiting until someone somewhere releases the one.

Wow. I didn't even realize it had been done that long ago. Crazy. For the most part I hear it's pretty good. I actually think the biggest complaint I hear is about how easily the paint chips when you're using the articulation. But I'm one of those play with it for a little while then pose it on the shelf kind of gals who occasionally rearranges the display. It really wouldn't affect me that much. I might have to do it and yeah if ML comes out with their own version I'll end up getting it too.

I would say just go for it, for the price I can assure you there will be no disappointments, I have not encountered any issues with paint chipping due to articulating the figure, and I have done some playing with it, but I can't say for long run, as It's been on a shelf posed for a long time. It's a really nice fig! i truly recommend.

LoL well I made that post about 4 years ago, I in fact bought this figure some years ago, and I am very happy with my purchase, I ended up just saying, this figure is great, even if Hasbro did do their own, it wouldn't likely be much better (I have doubts it'd be better at all), and this still remains true to me, this figure is excellent, I have in other threads told people I do recommend getting this, it displays very well with ML and it has great articulation, paint apps and sculpting, I say go for this figure, IMO even if we got an ML I'm not even sure I'd replace this one, likely ML if they got to this would probably do a modern take, and you can just have both.

For the price of this figure, it's worth buying.

I was on the verge of getting this too but I was thinking the same as you. As soon as I pull the trigger Hasbro will announce it's version whether it be a BAF or Deluxe or as I suspect one of the figures in a few multipacks featuring the Winter Guard or Red Guard or Soviet Supersoldiers or whatever. But maybe that's the only way we can will it into existence. We all buy this one and fate will most certainly make sure we immediately regret it by making sure Hasbro reveals their own immediately after. LOL!

In the end I can do without this even if Hasbro doesn't do one anytime soon. Plus just as @Gigantor says it does have some shady articulation that is really awkward for a figure that big.

Also like to note @AndyLthe shoulder articulation is fully functional. I honestly cant see hasbro topping this. Unless they try a more mordern rendition again.

Yeah. No the articulation is all there. This time my lack of description didn't really convey what I was trying to say. Weird. I've never suffered from lack of words before. LOL. What I really meant to say was for a larger figure it's pretty restrictive and some of the joints have bad exposures like the neck joint and pretty much all the joints are prone to chipping. I guess "shady" has it's own restrictions as well. But actually I think the shoulders are comparable to ML and I think the forearms actually have an extra cut joint. I did watch one review where pretty much all the joints were painted shut and when he was breaking them loose virtually all of them came with chipped paint. Of course the plastic is still green so ehhhhh. Unpainted joint really never bothered me that much. And to be fair Hasbro has a track record of their bigger guys having unnecessarily restrictive joints too. And also it just seems like this paint job as nice at it is out of the box is not going to hold up. Even though it's not as pretty I'd much prefer to have ML's marbleized plastic over a peeling metallic paint job.

Just want to say one this figure being released 4 yrs ago in bonkers. One its a great figure like this isn't a brick like older diamond select this is one of their best 5 ever in all their lines and I will stand on that (tho I do hate most if there's line but iron giant, silver centurion Ironman, beta ray bill, apocalypse, and this are just stunners). This thing is WELL worth 30 maybe even more.
