Should Hasbro Release A Fantastic Four: First Steps Made-To-Pre-Order Marvel Legends Galactus???

Back in 2022 Hasbro gave us the super cool comic inspired Marvel Legends Galactus figure through their Haslab crowdsource website. The figure stands 32" tall and has 70+ points of articulation along with LED lights. The original cost was $399.99 which also included several 6" figures.

With the new Fantastic Four: First Steps movie which opens in theaters this coming July expected to feature the big guy in all his glory, the question many Marvel Legends fans have been wondering is if Hasbro might re-release Galactus in some way?

We know we are getting 6" Fantastic Four figures from the movie which will be going up for pre-order this coming Friday (5/30), but could or should Hasbro try and give us Galactus?

Last year Hasbro started offering "Made-To-Pre-Order" Marvel Legends figures on their Pulse website, one of which was a cheaper version of their X-Men Sentinel figure that also had previously gotten the Haslab treatment. So should Hasbro do something similar with Galactus this year?

With the coming movie, offering Galactus again to folks who may have missed out the first time, especially if it is a cheaper version without additional figures and perhaps electronics seems like a logical move on Hasbro's part. We have no idea if it's in the works or not but we thought we would ask you all to share your thoughts about it in the comments below and if it's something you want made, and if so what would be the maximum amount you would pay?

I would say YES but with a caveat: If the movie is a success ( and they'll know on opening weekend) then rush the Haslab back into production in a pared-down form. Reason being is the now-interested ( but usually-blithely ignorant) public will now want a Galactus to complete their movie characters. If the character is so compelling, consumers are going to ask "where is he??". They could feasibly have him in stores by Christmas or early next year.BUT, if he should come across as silly in any way, and the movie itself flops, Hasbro can just drop the idea cold.

Since it would likely look like the movie, no, pass. An even more classic comic one, maybe. I'd like to see them take another stab at something more classic comic oriented, but I'm not interested in a MCU Galactus.

No because Hasbro would charge way more than it should really cost...just look at the Maximum(less) figures ....

Tentatively yes. But honestly I think it's ultimate success would depend on how well the movie does. And honestly right now that movie is tracking so hot and cold I'm not sure what to expect. It looks good to be sure but based on what some of the actors have said in interviews about the changes they're making to the actual core characters I'm really afraid for the project. I still have high hopes they don't get too crazy with the changes. Back on subject I think a pre-pay pre-order thing would work really well if the movie does well but they'd have to extend it out a pretty long way. At least until the movie opens. And at that point how long would it take to get final product. Also I'm sure a lot of people who weren't able to get in on the Galactus Haslab at the time would be in but I think final price and actual size of the figure would play a big factor. Personally based on how he seems to appear in the trailers I wouldn't bother with anything smaller than the Haslab. Which without tiers or any figures included would probably put it around the $300 mark still. And if they went any less it would show they overcharged for the Haslab and they did and people would get upset. It would kind of put them in a pickle.

It would be an EXTREMELY EASYPASSfor me. Because I could "easily pass" it up.

I'm not holding my breath for the movie either.

However, with that being said I really hope they prove me wrong!

The haslab Galactus was the most sold marvel haslab to date. It only goes for a slightly higher price, because everyone bought one or two thinking it would be great to resell. Which is a terrible reason to get any haslab IMO. I think everyone that wants a Galactus has one at this point, but Hasbro might Hasbro and make a cheaper version that hardly anyone will buy. Maybe for $200, but who would want it if you have the haslab or baf? I feel they will do some type of Galactus just for the movie like a 12" five poa kiddie version for sure. Bottom line is I feel it would not sell well enough for Hasbro to justify.

They could do a MTO, but it will depend on how that version of Galactus is received by fans first

Think they should do... it is a new opportunity for people that couldnt get the first one.. but for me it will be just some more money i will save for other figures.. i didnt get the Haslab one but bought the tier original figures later on ebay and i am still satisfied with the old BAF Galactus.

Lord_Scareglow - 2025-05-27 @ 2:17 am

Nah, I skipped the Haslab myself, and I have the Marvel Universe one or whatever which I like is great enough, it's large enough but it's also not a mammoth space taker-upper, personally I don't have any interest in a MCU Galactus, and I don't know if I see a ton of others will be either, everyone who wanted a massive expensive Galactus has one at this point.

Nerftrooper - 2025-05-27 @ 1:59 am

Nope. I have the first Haslab one still in the box as I haven't decided on a good location for it. Seeing as how it's the definitive comic version, a FFFS version is an easy pass. Now a Kirby-style version....
