In that pic Cap looks really chunky, as if they fully sculpted new body to fit in with MVC aesthetics but that probably (and sadly) just a an angle of the pic that makes figure looks thicker.

Re: War Machine vs Omega Red Gamerverse set
I do like the look of this set. Particularly the colors of War Machine. I guess WM is supposed to be the NEW figure of the set. It does have some pretty noticeable differences but honestly they are little more than a few tweaks on the comic based figure. As far as Omega Red I don't think there's anything new about him other than a few cosmetic changes and new hair do. Not exactly sure but I don't even think they used the upgraded mold with the diaphragm joint like they used on Venom and The new X-Force Warpath. As a matter of fact it looks like they specifically posed him to hide the fact. And in this situation this figure would have benefitted from the added articulation for the more dynamic game style poses. It literally seems like they cracked open the unsold Amazon exclusives box sets and repackaged them for this set. Basically nothing new. I wouldn't even consider this set unless it goes to massive discount.
IMO, aside from the Psylocke and Shuma Gorath figures and Cap to a lesser extent this entire Gamerverse wave or whatever they're calling it has been a bust. I know without Capcom on board they had limited options here but this is more or less a bunch of reuse built around a few new massive figures to showcase. TBH I think a better strategy would have been to actually do it as a BAF wave with Shuma as the BAF. And Juggernaut in a 2 pack with Wolverine. I would have bought them all as singles just to build the BAF. And I think the new Wolverine figure alone would have sold the 2 pack. Of course that means they would have had to put a little more love into figures like Omea Red, Silver Samurai, Thanos and Venom beyond a pretty new paint job but since when has Hasbro ever been accused of going above and beyond minimal effort? I mean for anything other than MCU products that is.
Got Shuma and the Cap/Venom set on pre-order but if I can't get ahold of the Psylocke set I'll be looking to sell or trade Venom to offset cost of having to track down Betsy on the secondary market. Otherwise a whole lot of nothing but money saved on my part.

People. Can we please focus on the subject matter? Please stop derailing it.

LOLGreat sculpts otherwise,,,,,,but that dissimilarity is a deal-killer for me.And rightly so because they are asking too much for the figure, and why should I compromise?
I hear you...why not instead do 4 heads for him (2x muttons, one with scream one without, 2x non-muttons, one with, etc). And if that's too pricey, how about a "running variant"? Oh and while they're at it FIX THOSE BOOTS because that cut looks awful. I mean there were other choices...aside from those issues, its a good figure. But instead of 80-90%, why not go 100%?

LOL don't get me started on that weird Luke Cage, Armpit for Hire decision. But bear in mind in the same "mini comic" wave they did ROM....and they knocked THAT out of the park! Absolutely incredible, just firing on all thrusters there. I can't say enough good on that one.

What I don't want is to buy something where the production is half done, overpriced, or not up to the capabilities I know the maker can have. If quality is the watchword that should never be an issue.

I had mentioned the pre-order going up today on reddit last night and some people seemed very confused about it. Errors happen sometimes. Better that it was too early rather than too late!
Ha! It's just something I thought of while reading your explanation yesterday. I think it all comes down to personal preference. I like that they made this figure so large and I don't have a Juggernaut yet, so the timing to pre-order this one works out well for me.

I think I'll need to see Juggs "in hand" and go from there. Maybe...just maybe....I pick him up and ditch the former release.
