My favorite look for Deathbird is her appearance in the Avengers where she fought Hawkeye. I later found her in old issues of Ms. Marvel. Her look was so bad@$$! Not a big fan of the no wings look...but we are getting a Deathbird figure....so Im happy. Ill just make my own .
Now more of the imperial Guard woukd be nice...like Starbolt,Oracle and Hussar. A Warstar BAF would be GREAT

Ya know, with all these debates of what is the iconic look, it's very subjective. It isn't always how they looked the longest even. It's what they looked like when I started reading, or in my favorite storyline involving them. I personally picture Deathbird with wings. Atlantis replied to my question, that her wings got ripped off in issue 276, which is crazy early compared to when I was guessing. I thought maybe the 2000s. I stopped reading X Men right before that happened and didn't start reading again regularly till pretty recently. So man I really just picture her with wings. But with Mandarin, for instance, he had a lot of different looks through my comic reading. But my favorite story featuring him is the Dragon Seed Saga. So I want that look. But the suited look has been around since, I think the early 2000s and has been consistent for 20 some years. But I still picture him in the cool robes, and want that figure. It doesn't always make sense.
In any case, they could have easily given Deathbird removable wings. Most of them are removable on any winged figure. That way those of us who like the winged look wouldn't have to Still wait for her.
It's probably safe to assume that we will get "Winged" version of Deathbird in a year or two in retro or 97 line (or whatever the animation will be called by then). Also more I look at it more I dislike vanilla head on Gladiator, his face sculpt looks like a grumpy elderly man...

Why are they so against wings? Super Adaptoid, Sam Wilson Cap. But regardless this 2 pack is a must. Iceman is an insta buy as well, and I cannot wait for Starfox!!!! He's gonna really round out some Avengers lineups! Still very torn on most of this mini comic wave. When it was announced I thought I'd just buy the set from EE, but seeing it, I'm gonna have to cherry pick I think.

I do believe her wings have grown back to a degree....I could be mistaken. I too would prefer her original look but they did a good job here. Love to see her in a wave with Ms. Marvel, Captain Mar-Vell, and all sparkly Genis -Vell (the old toybiz variant).
Im not too familiar with Deathbird, but I thought I remembered her having wings in this outfit as well. After an image search I discovered why.

Because the Gamerverse comes with more stuff and they have to pay Capcom for the designs.

Love this- especially for the Punisher but I'm not liking the price- this should be 50 but I get it with the price hikes. This line will hurt the wallet a bit.

I hope we also see that warbow wave in totality as well, but by the sounds of his post, those will be saved for a later time.
So right.
