Anthony Mackie In Talks To Play Marvel's The Falcon

THR is reporting that actor Anthony Mackie (The Hurt Locker) is in talks to play the character of The Falcon/Sam Wilson in the upcoming Captain America: Winter Soldier movie for Marvel and Disney. In the comic books The Falcon is often seen alongside Captain America as his modern-day crime-fighting partner. He is also a member of the Avengers. His power derives from a special flight suit with wings he wears that allows him to fly and he can telepathically communicate with his pet Falcon Redwing. The Winter Soldier will star Chris Evans as Captain America and is being directed by Joe and Anthony Russo. It is slated to open in theaters on April 4, 2014.
