HeyUGuys.co.uk caught up with British actor Toby Jones (Arnim Zola) and asked him if he would be returning for Captain America: The Winter Soldier, in which he responded “It looks like I will be.”
Jones' character Arnim Zola was a scientist hired by the Red Skull to help him harness the power of the Tesseract in the first Captain America movie. During the course of the movie Zola was captured by Captain America and his men and provided them with key information that eventually lead to the Red Skull's downfall.
Since the events of the first Captain America which took place during World War II and the events of this movie which take place after the Avengers movie are significantly apart, it is unclear if Zola will appear in modern times or if he will appear in some kind of flashback scene. In the comics Zola's consciousness inhabits a strange looking robot body which gives him a form of immortality, so it's always possible they could go in that direction with the character.
Chris Evans (Captain America) and Sebastian Stan who played Bucky in the first movie will also be returning for this movie along with Jones. They will be joined by Anthony Mackie who will be playing The Falcon and Frank Grillo who will play the villain mercenary Crossbones.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier will be directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and the movie is slated to open on April 4 in 3D.
