Russo Brothers Sign Deal With Marvel To Direct 'Avenger' Movies

Deadline has confirmed that the deal between the Russo Brothers and Marvel is now official for the brothers to take over the Avengers franchise from Joss Whedon.

The Russos will be directing Avengers: Infinity War parts 1 and 2. Infinity War Part 1 is scheduled for release May 4th, 2018, with part two hitting theaters on May 3rd, 2019.

Besides the deal with Marvel to take over the Avenger movies. The Russo Brothers also signed a deal with Sony to be helming the recently-announced Ghostbusters spinoff starring Channing Tatum that’s intended to turn the franchise into a cinematic universe.
