Shang-Chi: And The Legend Of The Ten Rings To Be Shown In Theaters Only For 45 Days Before Going To VOD

According to Variety, for those not wanting to go see Shang-Chi: And The Legend Of The Ten Rings in movie theaters, you won't have wait long until it gets a home release. To be exact you will have to wait 45 days from it's September 3 theatrical release.

Before Covid, the industry standard was a 90-days exclusive viewing in theaters before a movie would see home release. As people have become spoiled during COVID of being able to watch a movie as soon at it premiers at home, I wouldn't be surprised if that 45 day grace period continues to shrink more and more.

Black Widow which is the next MCU movie to debut will be released on July 9 simultaneously at theaters and on Disney+ with Premier Access. If more people choose to watch the movie at home than in theaters, that right there might be the Endgame for movie theaters as we know them.
