Sony announced today that an extended version of Spider-Man: No Way Home will be hitting theaters this Labor Day in the United States and Canada. Additional countries will be added shortly.
The new version is called Spider-Man: No Way Home – The More Fun Stuff Version and contains added and extended scenes. It's being released in celebration of the 60 years of Spider-Man comic book character and 20 years of Spider-Man movies.
Check your local theater as tickets go on sale on August 9th with screenings starting September 2nd.
It became very obvious after they didn't include deleted scenes on the physical media, I think I even wrote it was the rumor I believed. Either way, I love extended/director's cuts, and at the very least it's better than the weird Endgame addition with some unfinished CGI.

99% of companies do this because they know people will run back to the theater to watch it again and Sony/Marvel and whoever else involved will release another Blu-Ray, but this time it will be the extended version and they will buy that version.
This all started with George Lucas and all the original Star Wars movies. They had to release Episode 4, 5, and 6 on VHS then released the super-enhanced versions then released the THX versions then released the extended/changed footage versions. Then all of those got released on DVD and Blu-Ray...
