“We recognize how much you’ve all done on your specific projects and it’s disappointing when carefully laid plans have to shift, but constant change is the nature of the production business, and our teams are no stranger to unexpected challenges and rising to meet them,” Feige and D’Esposito wrote. “We deeply appreciate all your efforts to make the best of the situation, and we can all hope that a new agreement will be finalized soon so we can resume the great work we have in process.”

I mean yes, the executives werent named, so theoretically it COULD be anyone who works at a film studio. But if thats the only criteria youre just attributing the quote at random.
Please note, Im not defending Iger. Im sure he absolutely intends to wait the guild members out rather than give in because thats what theyre all doing. Im just saying theres no reason to assume he said so to Deadline.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not attributing anything. That was someone else who did that. What I said was we don't know for sure who it wasn't, because we don't know for sure who it was, and that it could have been any studio executive. No one can be ruled out.But to be honest, I don't really give a damn who said it. It was said, it's disgusting, and it's doubtful that only one anonymous studio big shot wants to see that outcome.

Just because he works for a bigger company doesn't mean he can't support the people working for him. He is allowed to have an opinion that doesn't make some one higher then him. Disney may own Marvel but at the end of the day, it's own separate sub company, with its own rules. Sony may have it's own movie company but that part of the company can't dictate what the Video Game side does or the Anime side or any of the others.
What do you think Iger is going to force Fiege or any of the sub companies to fall in line? You think he would fire them for that? Do you have any idea how much legal trouble they would get into if they did?
No at the end of the day you should be praising Fiege, not denouncing him because of what Iger said.
That's why I said he has good intentions. And his boss is an ass but he is his boss. And the boss always has the final word.
Great that Kevin is supporting his workers.
Good on Kevin. That was the proper response from a executive. Don't go out of your way to make a bad situation worse like Iger did

That was rhetorical. It totally was. I know Feige probably has good intentions here but really how much hope can you garner when the man he answers to has a completely conflicting opinion?

Good on Fiege. Supporting not only his staff but the actor and writers.
