The following contains some spoilers to the first season of Netflix & Marvel's Daredevil.
We reported earlier this month that The Walking Dead's Alum Jon Bernthal has been cast to play The Punisher in the second season of Marvel's Daredevil.
Now sources are telling
Nerdist that newly appointed co-showrunner Marco Ramirez is referring to season two as "Daredevil Vs. The Punisher." The reason being is because at the end of season one, Matt Murdock turning Kingpin into the police and pledging not to kill in the name of justice. The Punisher, on the other hand has a take-no-prisoners style of vigilante justice. With no Kingpin around, anyone with a criminal side will be trying to fill that vacant hole and The Punisher is more happy to stop each and every one of them. Of course, Daredevil is not going to be happy to see this happen and he'll have to put a stop to it and The Punisher.
On a side note, it's being rumored that Bullseye and Elektra could be be appearing in the show’s second season. Nothing has been confirmed and we'll have to wait for more information.
