NYCC 2016 - Sigourney Weaver Headed To The Marvel Cinematic Universe & Other Marvel Netflix Series News

October 8, 2016
It was announced this evening at New York Comic Con that actress Sigourney Weaver would be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe playing the villain in the upcoming Defenders Netflix series. No word on who she will play, but Jeph Loeb made it clear that it's a strong enough villain to pit up against Jessica Jones, Cage, Daredevil, and Iron Fist. She came out on stage wearing green so that might be a clue in it's own right. A clip was shown for Iron Fist that featured a character that appeared to look like the female version of White Tiger. She was not mentioned by name but was shown kicking butt.

It was also confirmed that the character of Karen Paige will appear in the Punisher series. Thanks to shartimusPrime for the heads up.
