This Marvelous Custom was done by
Doubledealer who has created a custom 6" modern
Deadpool figure. Here is how Doubledealer describes the making of the figure:
Deadpool is one of those characters that has always been popular to customize. For good reason since everybody loves him. Because of this and the fact that I'm pretty satisfied with the Marvel Legends version, I've steered away from making him. But still, a version of Deadpool has always been lingering in the back of my mind. Not making a character just because everybody else has, is kinda retarded on my part. So I gave in and decided to make one just so I can move on.
Still, I didn't want to do a Deadpool that everyone else has seen before, so I went with another effective recipe that isn't in wide practice. The base figure is essentially the Face Off Punisher with Moon Knight's head. The costume details were sculpted with epoxy putty. The raised piping of the costume are styrene strips. Styrene strips would essentially snap in half if you bent them in a right angle, but I love that you can sand them down, so that the segmented parts blend in together. Then it was just a matter of gluing accessories from the parts bin. Unfortunately the Moon Knight head made it seem like he has no neck, so I ended up having to raise the neck just a little bit to make him more proportionate. The swords if I'm not mistaken, are from a Sin City Miho. I used parts of her for another custom and have been waiting for a chance to use those kickass swords of hers.
