Marvelous News' Q&A With Hasbro's Marvel Brand Team

Jay Cochran - December 17, 2009
Hasbro’s Q&A with the Marvel brand team members returns this month with a new batch of questions and answers. If you would like to submit a question for Hasbro to answer about their Marvel Line, head over to our FORUMS and post it for possible use in a future Q&A session.

This will be the final round for 2009. The next round will pick up sometime in early 2010.

Marvelous News: From reader thedevilsdue06: The current 2 packs of Marvel Legends are awesome. The interchangeable pieces are my favorite part, (heads, hands, arms etc.). We know that Black Widow and Deadpool will be coming out in 2010. Any plans on an alternate blonde head for Yelena Belova Black Widow or a disfigured head for an unmasked Deadpool? Maybe even reusing Valkyrie's head to make a Lady Sif? Now that i think about it this wave has a lot of potential.

Hasbro: These are all great ideas… our design team is looking to develop these items as the previous 2-packs were with extra parts. We hope you will be happy with our selections once we unveil them early in 2010.

Marvelous News: From reader Slugzilla: What can we Marvel Legends collectors do to encourage Hasbro to create some sort of online monthly or perhaps even quarterly figure release program similar to the one Mattel is successfully using over on their website? I know that if it can work with a property like Masters of the Universe it can definitely work with Marvel Legends. As someone who like many has collected 6 inch figures for years I really wish there was a program like this that would get us more 6 inch Marvel figures.

Hasbro: We are always looking at ways and options to get the Legends figures into the hands of fans. Plans are being made and we will announce them soon.

Marvelous News: From reader Powerman: Can you give us any hints if we will see 'Dark Reign' characters like the Dark Avengers, Dark X-Men or Thunderbolts in the Marvel Universe line for 2010?

Hasbro: There are certain periods of 2010 that are looking very dark. You never know who might show up.
