Deadline is reporting that Marvel has selected Alan Taylor to take over as director of "Thor 2" as the replacement for Patty Jenkins. Jenkins was the original director but left over differences with Marvel on the sequel.
With Taylor in the directors seat, this will put the film back on track to meet its November 15, 2013 release date. The sequel brings back Chris Hemsworth as the hammer-wielding superhero, from a script by Thor co-writer Don Payne.
