I think I seen those pictures before on Toy Ark. It's just an amazing sight to behold, that's for sure. What happened between that and now? Toy Isles suck now compared to that. The Toy Isles are full of all that Saturday Morning Anime crap now. Only thing worth looking at in the Isles is G.I. Joe, Star Wars, Thundercats, DCU, and the Marvel lines. The other stuff gets twice the isle space at least in my area.
That is a glorious sight to behold.
Being a kid growing up during the 80's and 90's was just awesome when it came to action figures. yeah.. I actually feel bad for anyone that didn't grow up in the 80's... I mean I can still remember the full glory that was ToysRUs! Man, I can't even believe how many toys we had and just how much each toyline released. I mean the GiJoe section alone was bigger than the action figure selection at some stores I have been into lately. Kids today.. your toys suck compared to ours
No kidding. I used to think my memory painted a better picture of what places like TRU, Children's Palace and KB used to be like, but then I see old pictures and it wasn't just a matter of us being small and the aisles being stocked...its that they really were freaking huge, packed to the brim with toys. So why are people not allowed to not like the Helicarrier?Lets just respect people's opinions and not get caught up in the arguments. My personal opinion is that Hasbro put their C-list team on this one. Being a star wars fan, I have seen some amazing large scale vehicles over the past 5 years and the Helicarrier does not even come close to those. Playmates is getting back into the large scale playsets BTW, check out the new Turtles lair: (link) (You have to scroll down, obv) dude.. the Ninja Turtles stuff is looking way cool.. It's looking way way better than my childhood TMNT collection. The Kid version of me would have flipped out over them. Too bad the old me doesn't have as much fun inside to enjoy these lol
I know what you mean. I'm actually still into Ninja Turtles sadly at the age of 29 lol. My gaming room has all the 2007 Movie figures, 2003 Cartoon figures on shelves. I'm still a sucker for Ninja Turtles and I can't wait for the new cartoon series and the new Live Action Movie that's being made. I will def buy all of these because they look awesome! I started out into He-Man, Thundercats and G.I. Joe, Star Wars, Star Trek but when my mom bought me the Turtles back in 88 I was hooked. Everything else was second to Turtles until 1992 when the X-Men Cartoon Pilot came on. Then I was hooked on X-Men and Marvel but Turtles always held a special place with me.
LMAO! I had everything you did.(not necessarily every figure though. lol)

It's a great time to be an 80's collector. Between the new He-Man, Thundercats, Ghostbusters, Ninja Turtles only thing I think could complete it would be some new M.A.S.K figures. I'd say it's a GOOD time to be an 80's collector.. not great. We are getting great stuff from GiJoe and StarWars. I am already soured on the MOTUC line, never got into Ghost Busters toys even when I was a kid (even though I loved the movies)... and while the new Thundercats cartoon is amazing, the toys are not so much. (I do have some hopes for the new classic 6 inch line, even though the screaming Lion-O head sucks. But I am definitely missing plenty more 80's stuff. Definitely, like you said, MASK. It was pretty sick when we got Matt Trakker in the Joe 25th line.. I really wish they would have done more. I at least needed a Condor motorcycle with Brad Turner :) How awesome would it be if Hasbro did a "Toys of the 80's" toyline that incorporated all kinds of characters from plenty of different classic lines, all in the same scale. I really want some Silverhawks! Those never got much love after the 80's. I also want some Captain Power, a Bravestar, a Blackstar, C.O.P.S. AND CROOKS, The Centurions, Crystar, some DinoRiders, and Visionaries
Well maybe great was a strong word but it's nice having 8 inch and 6 inch Classic versions of Thundercats, Diamond Select released the Back to the Future II Time Machine, We got Masters of the Universe figures, Ghost Busters, A-Team figures (granted not the 80's versions) Now with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Classics, well it's a great time to be a collector from the 80's. Plus I can't forget the G.I Joe 25th AN figures because those were redone 80's figures pretty much. Star Wars figures count as 80's figures too I guess. I was never into Silverhawks but I loved C.O.P.S and Crooks, DinoRiders had some of the best vehicles/Dino's ever and Captain Power was one of my favorites. Hell I wouldn't mind a new line of Beetlejuice toys too lol. I was heavy into those when they first came out. Of all of those lines mentioned I'd take M.A.S.K because just the idea of having 4 inch figures with 4 inch sized vehicles makes me weak in the knees.
Well back to the main topic. I will not stand in anyones way who wants to buy this. you can have it. Too much of a disappointing toy. It supposed to be a hellicarrier. At that size, what is it supposed to carry? I would glady pay $200 if it was at least the size of the flagg. Clam - 2012-02-03 @ 6:28 am

HAHA! Dude I know exactly what you mean. I showed them to my girlfriend and I was so excited that she laughed. Have you seen this video yet?www.toyark.com/news/teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles-toy-news-42/teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles-classics-video-5294/ Gah! Thanks for that. Allow me to nerd out and start yelling "did you see the packaging!?" Awesome throw back to the original figures. Do want, want now. Want so bad! In one of the other videos, there was a good shot of the new Shredder figure. Have to say...not especially keen on the design so far, but I'll wait and see.
I like the design, it's different but cool enough. Now the Krang is just awesome! I like the fact that they might release a Classic Shredder, Bebop and Rocksteady, Splinter, Krang if the line sells well. They said even Movie Ninja Turtles too which would be awesome. It's a great time to be an 80's collector. Between the new He-Man, Thundercats, Ghostbusters, Ninja Turtles only thing I think could complete it would be some new M.A.S.K figures. The new Cartoon will be fun to watch and see what new take they are doing. I do like the fact in this new cartoon Splinter used to be Hamato Yoshi that transformed into a rat. I appreciate the original comicbook, movie and 2003's series version where he was a pet rat of Master Yoshi but I never bought the concept of a normal rat being able to learn martial arts by watching his master. I like the idea of him being human and turning into a Rat much more. I hope it's as good as the 2003 Version and I really hope Shredder doesn't turn out to be an Alien like the 2003 series. It was a neat idea but I hated it.
