The figure is fine but, not worth $50. I guess the intention was to pad out the overall package with the accessories but, i think that is where this fumbles, imo...

-peter head doesn't look very good.

-2nd masked head doesn't look too different from the other one.

-the exposed forearms have oversized hands & wrist shooters.

-the stand for the web glob sits too low.

-no stand for the figure. This seems like a glaring omission to me.

Just seems like a bunch of ultimately useless filler to me.

Re: Maximum Spidey

First gut reaction says it looks good but then you see those same wonky hip joints they put on the Mini Comic Wave Miles. That's just unacceptable and at $50 it's just criminal. I did pass on this from the start. I just didn't think it was that much better than the RYV Spidey and the extra accessories that should have been there anyway did little to convince me. As a matter of fact just seeing this review I actually think the RYV Spidey is better. At least he doesn't look like he's in need of a major hip replacement. I know it's a drop pin which I am a major fan of but somehow other companies and even other lines under Hasbro's own umbrella seem to be able to do it without a gap big enough to drive the Hellcharger through. Sure okay you can put him into those crazy McFarlane poses but this is supposed to be the be all end all most definitive version of Spider-Man so are we to assume that McFarlane and his wacky art is the one who created the most definitive version of Spider-Man? Now that's crazy. I think guys like Sal Buscema, John Romita, Mike Zeck and even guys like Mark Bagley and Erik Larsen might have something to say about that. At least those guys had a general understanding of anatomy and body mechanics. Bottom line it's excessive and it's overhyped and overpriced just like the NWH Electro figure. And those hip joints for as functional as they may be for giving him the ability to kick himself in the head are the worst I've seen on any figure from any company in a long long time. Passed on both of these monstrosities and it was money well not spent.

I really like how this looks, but it's not fairly priced. There's no way this is a deluxe figure

I've done this with 2 other figures. Jude Law plays a character in that new Star Wars show, and he has a 6" Black Series figure. I took that head and put it on Yon Rogg from MCU's Captain Marvel so I could have an "no helmet/visor" portrait.

I took another SW figure head from old man Han Solo. His head was placed on a white tux Indiana Jones figure, and this is now my President "Thunderbolt" Ross figure.

I admit it: I'm a geek LoL

Ain't nothing geeky about that, or at least, geekier than already collecting this stuff. Kitbashing is a time-honored tradition. BTW that Tux Indy is the best figure that line released.

Old age LoL I have to use READERS for my cell!

I paid $37.99 for my "Electro" (quotes intentional; that ain't Jaimie Foxx!). It was actually $39.99, but I used my Target card and they gave me a whopping 5% off!

It is WAY overpriced. But I took the plunge in hopes Foxx becomes an action figure in ANOTHER property, and I can just harvest the head and pop it on "Electro."

A Geek maybe. But a resourceful Geek. Nice work. Funny how Hasbro always finds a way to secure the likeness' of the actors from one Disney property yet can't seem to work out all the kinks to do it for another possibly better selling Disney property. Even if it's the same darn actor. Hmmmm. Let's ponder that for a second.

I must've thought I saw someone say $50 in a previous post, must be my old age . But at $35 still overpriced. If there was at the very least a Jamie Foxx head sculpt I could see them trying to push the price that high. But without it just too much in my opinion.

It's all good. I just wasn't sure if you originally thought I was trying to justify the price when I was actually agreeing with you lol.

Awesome....group hug, everyone!

LOL. That's my personal nickname for that Phoenix Deluxe figure they did on the ultra articulated body model that they charged $50 for. They charged for the immobile stand like it was an actual figure. I think the publicity crew actually referred to it as a 2 pack a few times. Though I'm not sure of that for sure. Might be just hearsay but it was insulting none the less.

See, now I'm going to have to start calling it "Phoenix scam pack" ....LoL that's clever

No argument from me. The lack of a decent Foxx likeness is a travesty.

It was $35, though. It's not a $50 figure.

Edit: Ah, unless you're talking Canadian prices. Not sure where you live.

And I'm not trying to come across abrasive. I just reread my post and I was like Damn I must have been heated. Hot flash maybe. But TBH I was angry at this thing from the onset. This is just terrible. Just so terrible. And I do love the double ball joint concept. It is amazing on the G.I. Joe and it's a full time thing with them along with the drop pins in the legs. How they got so far ahead of ML on this front is crazy. And I know it's the difference of a license Hasbro owns versus a license they lease but to me that's always been a BS argument. The accommodations for the price to land the license is accounted for at bid time. The money is already gone. To go throughout the lifetime of the agreement and try to cut corners and pinch pennies to try to recover that money prevents you from making full use of that license. It's just a silly excuse.

It's all good. I just wasn't sure if you originally thought I was trying to justify the price when I was actually agreeing with you lol.
