Nice catch.

That the Ronan wave Doom?

Yes it is the Ronan wave Doom, paid thru the nose for it too, but that's cash under the bridge now. Doctor Doom is on my top three all time favorites Marvel villains list.

Might take a pass on this one but havent been able to do it with any other Walgreens exclusives.

Im with you, I saw Thing once and passed on him for budgetary reasons. Sorely regretting it now.

In all fairness, it's not just Hasbro. Something like 90% of the figures in DCUC were done on two or three bodies. It's just a fact of life, everything's gotta "cost out." If a tool can be repurposed for another figure (or two) that's another plus in that original tool's column. It got us a great Iron Man, and a pretty good Dr. Doom.

And it's for this reason I strongly believe we will never ever see another proper IM based wave. Beside a few baddies or allieslike Melter, Blacklash, Spymaster or Maria Hill, virtually every other character in the IM universe is armor or technology based. Any character like Chrimson Dynamo, Titanium Man, Iron Patriot or War Machine would all require a unique sculpt and the reusability of such sculpts is minimal. Now if they were to do a few waves and mix in SHIELD characters that need to be done, it would increase the amount of existing bucks that can be utilized while reducing the amount of specific sculpts that would be required for each wave. We can only dream, right?

On the point of Iron Doom, those are definitely painted details. Hell I think the majority of the head sculpt is painted detail as well. Then again it could just be promotional shots and the final product may be better. In a similar but opposite way, the promo pic for the 6 Arm Spidey was very different (but much better) than the final product.

My brother likes this figure, so I might purchase it.

Infamous Iron Man was a far better read than most recent Iron Man books...

If by "recent" you mean Bendis' other then-concurrent Iron Man issues. Because Slott's run is enjoyable.Infamous Iron Man was a fun read, but, honestly, the premise carried the book more than the execution.

I wasn't going to get this guy, but tbh, I'm loving the look in toy form. I'm sure WG will have sale to grab him.

Easy pass for me, I dont see many people really wanting this figure, I can understand Hasbro doing this as a exclusive (reused mold, and accesories, just new cape hood and maskless head to give it a little more for the pricepoint) but I think this is going to be a peg warmer that youll see in walgreens stands even after the zombie apocalypse.

I loved the concept of Infamous Iron Man and I really wish it continued into the Fantastic Four's return. Cool to see it comes with an unmasked Doom face. I just wish they'd put a bit more effort into the retooling. While the Model-Prime Armor is the base for Doom's suit, it included rivets and the Latverian emblem on the forehead. However, as far as Iron Man figures made from reused molds, I've seen much less comic-accurate results.

Never understood the concept of Doom as a superhero, especially just filling in for a hero he and the world presumed dead. This is Victor Von Doom for gosh sakes....he owns an entire nation, has a city named after him (ok, its actually his mom, but still...)! He'd never stoop to running around like someone else. So I passed on the comic and don't see much use for this figure. Not only is it bland, its not going to allow for any pose youd like, with the way that plastic cape hangs. They should've gone with soft goods for this one. And Yes it IS a repaint....which isn't a crime, but lets not kid ourselves.

Well, not passing on the book and reading it is what gives you the insight as to why did he become Iron Man.
