Many if not all of the Hasbro Marvel Legends reveals for today
came out this morning, but if you want to hear Hasbro talk about those and see a few other surprises up their sleeve, check out the live-stream video they are doing below.
Hasbro gave us a new looks at
Nimrod, Rogue and
Old Man Hawkeye with the new seemless technology. They are still not giving release details for Nimrod which is rumored to be released in a 3-pack with a Psylock and Phontomx. The Rogue also has the seemless oun technolgy and will have an alternate head.
They teased a foot for what looks like a
Sebastian Shaw figure.
Moon Knight will go up for pre-order on the
Walgreens around 3:30pm today and there will be a special link which will be available later today.
The new
Retro Fan-Channel Mysterio will have a new translucent headsculpt.
They showed the
Deluxe War Machine and
Apocalypse from
Age of Apocalypse. Both figures will be available for pre-order online at 1:30pm ET.
They showed the Retro Spider-Man wave first revealed at Toy Fair. As previously rumored this wave will include figures of
Spider-Man, Gwen Stacy, Peter Parker, Green Goblin, Electro, and
Daredevil. These will come on cardbacks that pay tribute to the old 5" Toy Biz Spider-Man Animated Series line.
The Green Goblin has a new Toy Biz like masked and unmasked Osborn head, Daredevil is wearing his armored costume from the 90's and Electro has his classic outfit and alternate hands. The other three figures we saw at Toy Fair. The Spider-Man figure is a newly sculpted figure with better articulation.
The Goblin glider has been modified so the stand from the Demogoblin will work with it.
Eternals wave has been pushed has been delayed but the Venom wave with Venomized figures are still coming out this year.
Build-A-Figures are not going away.
More boxsets coming like the Alpha Flight.
Hasbro has two SDCC exclusive, big year for X-Men and fans for both movies and comics will be happy and details on how they will be released coming soon.
Look for more Retro figures with single releases this year.
Look for new Into The Spider-Verse figures coming from Hasbro.
They are working figures for the House of X and Powers Of X crossover.
Besides the
AIM Soldier Army Builder that is a Hasbro Pulse exclusive, they also said another army builder figure is in the works that will be new, not a re-release
Biggest role play coming and biggest BAF coming in 2021. Not sure if the BAF tease is in reference to the
Haslab Sentinel. Dwight teased us by showing a leg from what is likely the
Haslab Sentinel.
Team boxsets of the core members of various classic teams such as the Invaders, Starjammers, Squadron Supreme, Serpent Society, 80s Masters of evil, Champions & Imperial Guard are a must. Each of those teams consist of characters that fans have been wanting done for yrs.
I'm all for more box sets like Alpha Flight. That was great getting a team at once. I'd be up for a redo of First Appearance X-Men as the first one was a little lacking. I'd really like a First Appearance Brotherhood of Evil set though. I'd definitely pre-order that.

True.

Granted, marvel has demonstrated they can make hay with obscure characters, but generally those obscure characters have at least some sort of fanbase among comic fans (e.g., the modern GotG). I can come up with some comic stories i enjoyed that featured the Inhumans, but i'm pretty hard pressed to come up with many stories where the eternals really made an impression, outside of Sersi joining the avengers for awhile (which i never read anyhow). Even the Gaiman story really didn't do much for me. Of course others mileage may vary. Plus the Inhumans are just much more interesting visually. But I'm trying to keep an open mind about the Eternals movie and certainly plan to see it, just wish phase 4 was starting off with more of a bang to keep the fan base pumped up.
I hear you. I'll say this, I might be interested in comics based Marvel Legends Eternals way more than what this MCU project looks to be. I think you're right about the comic fanbase for Eternals- it wasn't really that big, but not surprising, as I the comic came out during the height of the 70's von Daniken bs. Very short lived and very niche. And tailor made for Kirby; the bad guys are all ugly and mean and the good guys all good looking and heroic. Simplistic tripe, even for comic books.
Considering howintricate and overly complicated Kirby tended to make his characters, it would be a lot forHasbro, but still would lookcool. Give em all eye beam accessories and great paint jobs...they would make for some interesting Marvel Legends!
The overwhelming majority of people in the mainstream audience don't read comics, so of all the potential issues an Eternals movie faces, them being obscure really isn't one of them. The entire marketing pitch for Guardians of the Galaxy was joking about how nobody knows who any of these characters are.
The Marvel brand is what sells most of the movies at this point.

Besides, the pictures I've seen, the characters don't look anything like the Eternals from the comics. At least most of the MCU properties made an effort there. But maybe Eternals will be their answer/place holder to the FF, like Inhumans was the answer to the X-Men.
And that turned out so well right?
All jokes aside, I may not be pumped for Eternalsright now,but I can be optimistic. They certainly have a lot of work ahead of them.

have had luck with every Walgreens exclusive except Mystique, fingers crossed I can get MK without dropping my budget on one character

Eternals is gonna need all the hype it can get, as i think many more casual fans will view Endgame as a satisfactory conclusion to the MCU, Other than Spidey's identity being exposed and Star Lord's pursuit of Gamora, feels like there isn't anything else that needs to be wrapped up. Of course i plan to see both Widow and eternals myself, but not as pumpedup as i was for the earlier phase movies.
