I love how super translucent that energy shield is. Sure, the clip is visible but not sure what else they could do with that part. I'm not a fan of that clip because a few others I've had over the years broke, and often for no reason I could see.

The figure looks good, solid; pinless would've been nice but this I can deal with.

That head sculpt however is another matter. Yes, they should have had an "older" Rogers head, but this one looks off....weird, more jaw than anything else. Not sure why they did that. The Matt Salinger head does indeed look better. Also, agree that maybe a Fury Jr. head should've been included too.

So: Better Steve head

Older Steve head

Fury Jr. head/ hands

Plasma energy shield

energy staff

I had a Cap wave in mind that would include Commander Rogers, so scratch this one off my list!

Yeah really wish this had come with a Nick Fury Jr. additional head, I would have bought it then, I don't need more Steve, but I do need more Nick Fury, If only I even had a Nick Fury head to go with this, then I'd get it, but sadly I do not. This is a fairly cool figure, but I just don't care much about this look for Steve although he was wearing this look in the Secret Avengers which I'm a fan of, I'd still only buy this to make it a Fury Jr.

Yeah a Nick Jr. head and hands would have been a good idea.

I do like this update of the figure but I also agree with MCUC that this was a missed opportunity for Hasbro to include an Old Man Rogers head sculpt. I do expect them to do so eventually though. If I had to guess I'd say there may be a 2 pack in the near future with a Comic Old Commander Rogers and Sharon Carter with troop builder head sculpts. It would be really cool if they decided to go that extra mile and include Nick Fury, Jr and Maria Hill portraits as well. Also even though MCUC's videos are top notch he's really terrible at recognizing the body models. This is not the same body they used for Blue Marvel. That was the Spider UK body. This is clearly the Reaper body. He often admits this is his weak point. Got to love the guy though.
