Well put, totally agree. The skill and craftsmanship here just outclasses Toybiz; a good example of learning what works, what doesn't, etc. No, the faceplate doesn't need to come off and in fact in this armor, the helmet didn't have a face plate, as you point out. That was a nice gimmick from Toybiz but not needed today.

Also correct, the Stealth armor has distinct features and is not a blue/black repaint of the classic gold & red scheme. Let's hope to see that and the true first appearance red & gold appear soon. If the gold variant of the MK1 is made it should indeed have the lower "tunic" part/apron/skirt.

Add MK1 to the list of figures that Hasbro one-upped Toybiz on.

Until I had this guy in hand I really though Toybiz's version held up (despite his weirdly long neck). But Hasbros version outshines that figure on every level. I don't even mind that there is no unmasked version as for 1: his Toybiz sculpt was goofy. And add that to the aforementioned long neck and ugh.. and 2: I don't recall MK1 ever pulling his face plate off. Seems he removed the entire helmet. Regardless, I never displayed his unmasked look.

We all assume that we will get a gold version sooner rather than later, and here's hoping Hasbro gets I right and adds the skirt. They like cutting corners like with the Stealth Armor. That armor is more than a blue repaint of his classic armor
