EW reports that a new animated movie is in the works from Marvel Animation Studios. The movie will be called Iron Man & Hulk: Heroes United which will see Avengers members Iron Man/Tony Stark and Hulk/Bruce Banner team up to fight the energy based villain Zzzax.

The movie will be released on DVD or other home entertainment mediums on April 23. The movie will use a hybrid of computer-generated animation and hand-drawn art.

Adrian Pasdar (NBC’s Heroes) voices Iron Man and Fred Tatasciore (Previous Hulk cartoons) voices Hulk/Banner. Zzzax will be voiced by Dee Bradley Baker ( Klaus the goldfish on American Dad).

This animated movie will not be a direct tie-in with the Marvel movie universe, but Jeph Loeb, executive VP of Marvel’s TV division says he welcomes fans to interpret it that way if they wish.

If this movie does well then we can expect additional movies that team-up our favorite heroes in the future.
