Crossbones To Appear In Captain America: The Winter Soldier?!?

According to IGN, actor Frank Grillo (The Grey, Warrior, Prison Break) confirmed via Twitter that he was up for a role in the upcoming Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Monday, "See Ya LA. It was a a good trip. Marvel was a lot of fun. Be cool if it works out. #CaptainAmerica."

We looked for this Tweet, but it looks like it was removed. Likely because someone wasn't happy that Mr. Grillo had let the cat out of the bag.

This supposed confirmation from Grillo comes on the heels of a tweet made by comedian Matt Aaron who posted the following:

"@BRIANMBENDIS Have it on reliable authority that Frank Grillo is THIS CLOSE to getting the role of Crossbones in the Marvel movies "

For those who read the comics know Crossbones is one of Cap's archenemies who is a deadly mercenary know for being the right-hand man for the Red Skull.

Will Crossbones show up in the next Captain America movie and if so do you think Frank Grillo would be a good choice to play the character?

Captain America: The Winter Soldier begins filming next spring in Cleveland and slated to hit theaters on April 4, 2014
