No Leather Suits For Next X-Men Movie

by Jay Cochran
November 15, 2012
Back when the original X-Men movie came out which was directed by Bryan Singer, one of the big fan controversies was the decision to dump the classic X-Men costume designs seen in the comic books and go with a more realistic if not boring looking black leather costumes which caused a lot of uproar in the fandom at the time.

Now with Brian Synger returning to the world of X-Men to direct the next movie Days of Future Past it would seem he is looking to possibly correct that oversight. In a recent Tweet he said the following:

For those of you wondering...no leather suits. #xmen

Of course this doesn't necessarily mean we will see the traditional X-Men costumes as seen in the comics finally on the big screen though being as how the recent Avengers based movies has demonstrated that comic book characters can in fact look cool on the big screen with costumes that at least remotely resemble what they wear in the comic books, it would seem a logical decision to appease an often vocal fanbase.
