Rupert Wyatt To Helm 'Gambit' With Channing Tatum

Director Rupert Wyatt is taking on the directing duties for Gambit with Channing Tatum to star. The script is wrtten by Robocop scribe Josh Zetumer. Production is expected to begin in October.

The storyline is being kept secret but the screenplay is based on a treatment from Marvel Comics writer Chris Claremont, who with Jim Lee created the character for Marvel in 1990. Gambit, whose real name Remy LeBeau, has the ability to charge matter with volatile kinetic energy, causing the object in question to explosively release its charge on impact.
