Disney's Captain America: Civil War is the first movie in 2016 to surpass the $1 Billion mark worldwide at the box office. This past Thursday the movie hit $314 million domestically after being in theaters for 14 days which allowed it to break the $1 billion dollar mark worldwide. It took 23 days to bring in $677 million internationally.
Civil War is the 25th movie to break the $1 billion mark and the 4th Marvel Cinematic Universe movie to do so, “The Avengers” ($1.518 billion), “Avengers: Age of Ultron” ($1.405 billion) and “Iron Man 3” ($1.215 billion).
