Guardians Of The Galaxy 2 director James Gunn teased a possible appearance of Thor (Chris Hemsworth) in the upcoming sequel by posting a image to social media of himself holding the God of Thunders hammer on the set of the film.

This makes sense being the last we saw ol Goldilocks in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was at the end of Age of Ultron where he was off to discover the mystery of why all the Infinity Gems has been popping up so frequently. While plot details for the next Guardians movie remain secret, the film is likely to play a significant role to the build-up of Thanos and his appearance in the Avengers: Infinity War movies. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is slated to hit U.S. theaters on May 5, 2017. The third Thor Movie titled "Ragnarok" will then open later that year.
